England’s Dawid Malan, who is all set to make his first appearance in the IPL 2021 auction, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the T20I arena, climbing to the top of the rankings by enjoying a prolific run of form. England, who has produced some of the best limited-overs cricketers recently, has forged yet another reliable batsman in the form of Dawid Malan. Not only did the southpaw gained the number one T20I ranking but also attained the highest ever rating points by a top batsman with 915 recently.

The forthcoming IPL 2021 auction in Chennai on the 18th of February allows Dawid Malan to become the player most in demand. The past year saw Malan amass 397 runs in ten matches at 49.63 with four fifties, keeping a strike rate of 142.29. Nevertheless, for all his exploits in the international arena, the 33-year old fell flat in the 2020-21 edition of Big Bash League.

He played for Hobart Hurricanes in his inaugural extravaganza of Australia and managed 265 runs in ten matches at 26.50, maintaining a strike rate of 113.73. But the franchises would not ignore his T20I record in which he averages a daunting 53.44 in 19 fixtures while scoring 855 runs alongside a strike rate of 149.48.
