Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said he is preparing hard for the upcoming edition of the IPL and is confident about doing well in the tournament ahead of the auction. The IPL Auction is about to take place in 9 days’ time on February 18 in Chennai and the teams will be ready with all the calculations while Harbhajan Singh will go into the auction pool with a base price of 2 crores.

Harbhajan Singh has been a vital performer for India over the years as part of the Mumbai Indians from the inaugural edition until 2017 and played for CSK for the next two years. He missed last year’s IPL edition due to the pandemic and was released by CSK ahead of the IPL auction this year.  Harbhajan is a proven performer in the IPL and has been part of four title-winning campaigns.

“There Is A Lot Of Cricket Left In Me,” – Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan claims that he still has a lot of cricket to offer and admitted that he worked hard on his fitness during the lockdown time. He was unfortunate to miss last year’s T20 tourney despite putting the hard yards in training and now told he is looking forward to doing well in the upcoming edition. Harbhajan Singh can be a match-winner to any side he goes and is really effective in turning tracks.

“There is a lot of cricket left in me, very much. Fitness-wise, I am quite fit, I worked hard on my fitness during the lockdown. Unfortunately, I could not do anything (participate in the IPL). I am looking forward to being in the park again and doing what I can do best,” said Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan Singh Keen To Contribute

Harbhajan told that he was keen to play in the last year’s T20 league but he had to be with his family and had missed out on the previous edition. He also told that he is working hard now and felt that he made the right decision at that stage to quit last year’s league.

“I am looking forward to the IPL, I am preparing hard for it. Even last year, I was keen on playing, but because of the pandemic, I could not. I needed to be around my family. At that stage, I thought skipping IPL was the right decision,” he added.
