IPL 2021 Auction: Moises Henriques Sold To Punjab Kings For Rs. 4.20 Crore

Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques has been bought by Punjab Kings for Rs. 4.20 Crore in the IPL 2021 auction held on February 18 in Chennai. Henriques first came into notice as a young 16-year-old as a part of the Under-19 World Cup squad for Australia in 2004. He impressed everyone with a wicket tally of 11.
He has an impressive run in the Big Bash League 2020-21 as he led the Sydney Sixers to their third BBL title. Henriques has also been a part of the IPL as he has been a part of various franchises including Delhi Daredevils, SunRisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Henriques was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs. 4.20 Crore in the IPL 2021 auction that took place at Chennai on February 18. He caused a great bidding war between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings both looked determined to sign the Australian all-rounder as he had a great BBL campaign.
Henriques made his Test debut in 2013 for the tour to India. He was pretty impressive in his first game, scoring 68 in the first innings followed by an even better 81 in the second. However, he has not been a part of the Test squad since that tour. In the IPL, he has played a total of 57 matches and scored 969 runs at an average of 28.50 and picked 38 wickets too.
