Jasprit Bumrah Like A Breakthrough App: Irfan Pathan
Speaking on Star Sports, Irfan Pathan and Brett Lee lauded Jasprit Bumrah for his brilliant bowling. Irfan called Bumrah a breakthrough app for Mumbai Indians.
“He (Jasprit Bumrah) is like a breakthrough app. Whenever you want a wicket, you open the app, if you don’t get wickets, he won’t go for any runs. That’s what you saw today, he has been doing that since his first IPL for the Mumbai Indians,” Pathan said.
Brett Lee said that Bumrah has all the class and firepower in his bowling.
“He has all the class and firepower in his armoury. He has got a different action that makes it difficult for the batsmen. And the control over the length and lines is brilliant. The length around the yorker area is a very high percentage. Not many bowlers can pull that off what Bumrah does,” Lee said.
Jasprit Bumrah was also very useful during Mumbai Indians’ victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders earlier. Mumbai Indians successfully defended a low total in both the games and Jasprit Bumrah bowled a magnificent economical spell.
Mumbai Indians started their new leg of IPL 2021 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi with a victory against Rajasthan Royals. So far, Mumbai Indians have won 3 matches and lost 3 in IPL 2021. They hold the 4th spot in IPL 2021 points table with 6 points. Mumbai Indians will next face Chennai Super Kings on May 1.
