IPL 2022: Covid-19 Makes First Appearance As Commentator Aakash Chopra Contracts The Virus
Former Indian cricketer and current commentator, Aakash Chopra, has tested positive for covid-19, he confirmed via a tweet on Saturday during the day game between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.
Chopra revealed that he returned a positive result in his test but was only experiencing mild symptoms. However, this raises concerns as he is part of the IPL bubble, and considering the IPL 2021 season had to be postponed due to a covid outbreak, BCCI will be keen to deal with the situation swiftly.
“After dodging the bullet for nearly two years…I have also succumbed to the C Virus. Yups. Symptoms are mild thus far…? should be back on the saddle soon. ??? #COVID19,” he tweeted.

“Do not let go of this template” – Aakash Chopra on PBKS attacking style
Punjab Kings have adopted a no-holds-barred approach as evident in their loss to Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday. PBKS maintained an aggressive stance despite losing regular intervals which saw them fold up for 137 in 18.3 overs.
“My request for Punjab is – do not let go of this template. Just continue to play in this fashion. You might get out early on an odd occasion but it does not matter because when you hit, you will score 200-odd runs, you have that kind of team.“
“Shikhar Dhawan, M<!---->a<!---->y<!---->a<!---->n<!---->k<!----> <!---->A<!---->g<!---->a<!---->r<!---->w<!---->a<!---->l – they will 100% fire. So there is a lot of firepowers there, hopefully, things will start falling in place for them,” Chopra mentioned after PBKS’ loss.
