However, Lucknow managed to chase the target in the final over. Openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock played brilliant knocks of 40 and 61 respectively, giving a great start to the team. Later, Evin Lewis shattered a quickfire 55 off 23 balls to grab the victory for his team by 6 wickets.

Punjab Kings faced a miserable defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders in their last match. Batting first, PBKS suffered batting woes. Bhanuka Rajapaksa (31) and Kagiso Rabasa (25) were the only ones to cross the 20-run mark while batting. Umesh Yadav hunted 4 wickets to give a big blow to Punjab.

Later, KKR openers Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer got out cheaply for 12 and 3 respectively. Later, Shreyas Iyer scored 26 runs. Sam Billings scored an unbeaten 24 while Andre Russell slammed a spectacular 31-ball-70 to clinch the victory for the team by 6 wickets.
