Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan provided a huge update on MS Dhoni’s fitness ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He revealed that the keeper-batter is attaining full fitness and he will do what he has committed to do.
MS Dhoni had a lot of troubles with his knee during the last edition of the IPL. He was struggling to even walk properly and when he was asked about playing in the next season, he mentioned that if he was fit he would be playing for the fans as they had given him so much.
As the IPL 2023 concluded, which Chennai Super Kings won, MS Dhoni underwent knee surgery in Mumbai. The keeper-batter since then has been in the recovery process and is doing a lot of fitness exercises. Last week, his video went viral in which was seen limping.
But MS Dhoni’s latest picture came from a gym, in which he was looking quite fit. The keeper-batter was retained by the franchise for the IPL 2024. This gave a lot of hints that he will be playing in the next edition of the tournament as well.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that MS Dhoni will never back down if he has given a word. He said that the keeper-batter is fit and they are hopeful of seeing him in IPL 2024. Speaking in a video posted by CSK, he stated:
“If our leader has given a word, he has never gone back. He already told what he was planning to do in that interview. I am sure that knowing MS, he will always do what he has committed to do. He is quite fit. Thalaivan is thalaivan (our leader is our leader).”
