Punjab Kings (PBKS) will aim to fulfill their dream of winning their first-ever IPL title in IPL 2024. Punjab Kings is one of the few teams who have not won any IPL title so far. However, they will look to change their fortune in the forthcoming season.

The IPL 2024 auction is set to take place on December 19 in Dubai. Like every other team, the Punjab franchise is gearing up to grab some powerful players during the auction. Last season, PBKS failed to reach playoffs. With 6 wins and 8 defeats across 14 games, PBKS finished in the 8th spot in the points table.

Ahead of the action, the franchise has dropped 7 players from their squad. Among them, Shahrukh Khan is a popular name who has been dropped from the side. Matthew Short, who was picked last season after his brilliant show in the Big Bash League, is another member of the dropped list.

PBKS has retained 17 players in their squad including skipper Shikhar Dhawan. They can fill in 8 more players into their squad, out of which, only 4 can be overseas players. They have Rs. 17.75 crore in their salary purse.
