Royal Challengers Bangalore will look for another attempt to win their first IPL trophy in IPL 2024. RCB has been a good performer for the last few seasons. However, they are still far away from the tag of champions.

Last season, RCB was expected to reach the playoffs. However, Mumbai Indians twisted their luck and became the 4th team to qualify for playoffs towards the end. Out of 15 seasons, RCB has reached the final on three occasions but always ended as runners-up.

Ahead of IPL 2024 auction, RCB has 11 players from their squad. Interstingly, RCB has dropped their almost entire bowling contingent, ending deals with players like David Willey, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Siddharth Kaul, and Wanindu Hasaranga. Hence, it is quite evident that RCB looks to form their bowling unit from the scratch during IPL 2024 auction.

If we talk about released players, RCB has retained a strong batting unit. Powerful batters like Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh  Karthik, and Cameron Green dominate the batting department. However, in bowling, RCB is only left with one powerful name Mohammed Siraj.

RCB Released Players Ahead Of IPL 2024 

Royal Challengers Bangalore has released 11 players from their squad ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. RCB has parted ways with most of their bowlers like David Willey, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Siddharth Kaul, and, Wanindu Hasaranga.

RCB Traded Players

RCB has made two trades ahead of IPL 2024. They have picked Mayank Dagar from Sunrisers Hyderabad in exchange for Shahbaz Ahmad. RCB has also picked Cameron Green into their squad from Mumbai Indians.
