Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni has dropped a massive hint about his retirement ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The keeper-batter has potentially confirmed that the upcoming edition of the league will be his last as a player for the five-time champions.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is around the corner and the preparations for the tournament have already started. The tournament is all set to begin on 22nd March and will be played over two months, with the final scheduled to take place on 25th May.

Coming to Chennai Super Kings, the five-time champions have arrived at their den at the Chepauk Stadium. Fan favorite MS Dhoni also has joined the team, and his arrival in Chennai seemed like a festival, with the franchise welcoming him in a grand way along with some other players of the team.

"One last time"- MS Dhoni all but confirms his retirement ahead of the IPL 2025

But what caught the attention of many was the T-shirt that Dhoni was wearing. "One last time" was apparently written on his clothing, but it wasn't a straightforward message. It was written in morse code, a system of communication using dots and dashes.

The Morse code suggested that MS Dhoni's T-shirt has "One last time". Here's how the code was written:

• --- -. .

• .-....- ... -

• - .. -- .

This reads:

• ONE | --- -. .

• LAST | .-.. .- ... -

• TIME | - .. -- .

Since the last few editions of the Indian Premier League, there have been a lot of talks related to the retirement of MS Dhoni. It was expected that 2024 would be his last season as he, after winning the IPL 2023, categorically mentioned that he would be playing one more season. Ahead of the league, he also handed the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad, which hinted at his retirement.

However, he was convinced by the team management and the owners to play one more season. Dhoni was retained in the uncapped category for INR 4 crore. He is expected to play a crucial role for the team in IPL 2025, in what could be his last season in the league.

MS Dhoni played all 14 games in the IPL 2024

Dhoni played all 14 games in the IPL 2024. The former Chennai Super Kings skipper scored 161 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 220. He batted lower down the order due to the knee issues and played some incredible cameos, helping his team win many games.

Chennai Super Kings is all set to begin their campaign against rivals Mumbai Indians in Chennai on March 22, a day after the IPL season opener between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Kolkata. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side, after a lean last year, would be hoping to lift their 6th title.
