IPL 2025: SRH splash ₹23, ₹18, ₹14 crores to retain Heinrich Klaasen, Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management has decided on their retentions. The reports claimed that South Africa keeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen, Australian allrounder Pat Cummins, and Indian player Abhishek Sharma will be the top three retentions.

The reports claimed that Heinrich Klaasen will be the first retention for the team and will be getting INR 23 crore. Pat Cummins, on the other hand, will be the second retention and will be retained at INR 18 crore, and India allrounder Abhishek Sharma, who will be the third retention, will stay with the team at INR 14 crore.

Opening batter Travis Head, who formed a formidable partnership with Abhishek at the top of the order, was the fourth leading run-getter in the tournament and SRH's highest. The Australia National Cricket Team batter mustered 567 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 191.55.

Nitish Kumar Reddy was also the key performer for the team in the IPL 2024. He proved his prowess for the team with bat and ball. The all-rounder ended the tournament with 303 runs scored at 142.92 and three wickets. He recently made his debut for India in the T20I series against Bangladesh, smashing 74 off 34 in his second game.
