With the much-awaited IPL 2026 auction just around the corner, the 10 franchises will be announcing the names of the players that they will retain and release. Even before the official announcement, the cricket fraternity is already buzzing with several big rumours.

One of those big rumours is related to India star Sanju Samson, who is currently the captain of the Rajasthan Royals. Reports state that the wicketkeeper-batsman would be joining five-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings, while veteran allrounder Ravindra Jadeja would go the other way.

The deals were officially confirmed by both franchises on Saturday morning. Along with Jadeja, Sam Curran has also moved to the Rajasthan Royals from Chennai. Ahead of the auction, all the teams are set to release and retain several players as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the next season.
