There are 4 more players with equal 12 ducks in IPL but Gambhir has played the most number of innings. However, the left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir has also been a very successful batsman in IPL. In 152 innings, he has scored 4217 runs along with 36 half-centuries in his name. Under his captainship, Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL titles in IPL 2012 and IPL 2014. He retired in 2018 after playing his last IPL edition with Delhi Capitals.

The left-handed batsman Patel retired from all forms of cricket in 2020. He is part of the Delhi Capitals and will play for the team IPL 2021.

However, Rohit Sharma is also a very successful batsman in the Indian Premier League. He is the 4th highest run-scorer in IPL so far. In 195 innings, the right-handed batsman Sharma has scored 5230 runs. He has also smashed 1 century and 39 half-centuries. Since IPL 2011, Rohit Sharma is part of Mumbai Indians.
