The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction 2025 is around the corner and the preparations are in full flow. All the franchises are on the drawing board ahead of the auction as the BCCI has asked teams to submit their list of retained and released players.

October 31st marks the deadline for all the franchises to submit the list of retained players. Most of the franchises have done their homework alright, as many reports have revealed about their retentions along with the price slab at which the players will be with them ahead of the IPL auction 2025.

IPL auction 2025 will be far superior to previous auctions.

If reports are to be believed then the IPL auction 2025 will be a blockbuster event as some of the big names are set to go under the hammer. There are chances that some big Indian names KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, discussions underway with KKR, Rishabh Pant, and others will be in the mega auction.

Not only the Indian names but also a few big overseas names, Andre Russell, David Warner, Faf Du Plessis, and others, will be in the IPL 2025 auction. This means that the stakes will be very high this time around and it won't be a surprise if the record of the highest bid gets shattered as well.

Monetarily, the IPL auction 2025 will be far superior to previous auctions. This is because the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has increased the purse from INR 100 Lakhs to INR 120 Lakhs, which is the highest ever in the history of the tournament.

The minimum bid amount for a player in IPL auction 2025 will be INR 30 Lakhs

This has also seen the minimum bid for the players increase. The amount has seen a massive hike of INR 10 lakhs. According to the new rules, the minimum bid amount for a player in IPL auction 2025 is INR 30 Lakhs, a raise from the previous bid amount of INR 20 Lakhs.

This means a player will earn at least INR 30 Lakhs from the IPL auction 2025, given he gets picked by a team in the mega auction. The development was confirmed by the senior journalist Mohsin Kamal on his Twitter account.

Players will get INR 7.5 Lakhs match fee per game in IPL 2025

There have been reports which claimed that the base price categories for the uncapped players will be INR 30 Lakh, INR 40 Lakh, and INR 50 Lakh. The minimum base price for the capped players also has been increased from INR 50 Lakh to INR 75 Lakh, with the remaining four slabs listed as INR 1 Crore, INR 1.25 Crore, INR 1.50 Crore, and INR 2 Crore.

The players will benefit a lot from the IPL this year. This time around, players will get INR 7.5 Lakhs match fee per game. Further, a player who participates in all league games will get an additional INR 1.05 crores apart from their contracted salary. This bombshell announcement was made public by Jay Shah recently.
