Fans on Twitter reacted after Punjab Kings used the Right to Match (RTM) Card for India National Cricket Team pacer Arshdeep Singh in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2025. The Day 1 of the event is underway at the Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
India National Cricket Team pacer Arshdeep Singh was the first player who went under the hammer in the ongoing IPL 2025 auction. The pacer invited a bidding war between as many as 6 teams in Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad who won the bidding war for Arshdeep Singh against all the other 5 teams
It was ultimately Sunrisers Hyderabad who won the bidding war for Arshdeep Singh against all the other 5 teams. The Pat Cummins-led side sealed the deal INR 15.75 crore before the auctioneer Mallika Sagar asked the Punjab Kings if they wanted to use the RTM. To the surprise, the franchise raised the peddle.
Sunrisers Hyderabad raised the bid to INR 18 crore and Punjab Kings didn't shy away from using the RTM and keeping Arshdeep Singh with them. With him getting this much money, he became the most expensive Indian fast bowler in the history of the IPL auction since its inception in 2008.
Punjab Kings using RTM for Arshdeep Singh came as a massive surprise for many. This was because the fast bowler wasn't retained by the franchise and they let him go. They went with just two players, Shashank Singh, and Prabhsimran Singh, and also faced a lot of flak for not retaining the pacer.
Arshdeep Singh arguably has been one of the pacers from India in the T20 Cricket

Punjab Kings taking out RTM for Arshdeep Singh. Time for Arshdeep to unarchive all the PBKS posts on Instagram.

PBKS could've simply retained Arshdeep Singh @ 18 Crores instead of this whole drama lol.
