The Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals (MI vs RR) IPL 2024 match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, April 1. The match starts at 7.30 pm IST with Mumbai Indians losing both their games so far and Rajasthan Royals winning two out of two. This is MI’s first game at their home ground in IPL 2024.

Rajasthan Royals, made the most of their home advantage winning back-to-back games at home. They scored 193 against LSG and 185 against Delhi Capitals batting first. Their bowlers efficiently defended the totals. The Royals won their first game by 20 runs and their second by 12 runs defending the totals.

Their bowling attack stood up both times and as a team, they were happy to bat first and pile up big totals asking their bowlers to defend the totals. The Royals fancies playing against the Mumbai Indians.

They have won 12 and lost 15 games. There have been very close matches between the two teams in the past and this one is expected on the same lines as well.

Mumbai Indians have now lost two games on the bounce. They are generally slow starters in the IPL. But the two losses might come back to hurt them as it gave a big dent to their NRR. Hardik Pandya’s captaincy in both the games was the subject of debate.

He not giving the ball to Jasprit Bumrah with the SRH openers going great guns was another subject of debate after the loss in the previous game. A third loss in a row might make things very difficult for MI going forward in the season.
