IPL 2026: RCB vs CSK Match Result
CSK captain won the toss and elected to field, both sides came with an unchanged XI. RCB openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt had a steady start. Virat Kohli was lucky in the match once as his catch was dropped by Shivam Dube on the score of 7 runs.
However, Dube had a redemption on Anshul Kamboj’s ball as he took the catch as the batter was dismissed on the score of 28 off 18 balls. However, after that, Salt took charge and scored aggressively.
Salt was dismissed on the score of 46, and then Devdutt Padikkal took charge from the same place where he left the previous game, and scored a fiery half-century; however, he was dismissed by Jamie Overton. Captain Rajat Patidar was in no mood to slow down as he kept the run rate high and scored at a good pace.
Tim David joined the party with Patidar, as the Aussie batter also smacked at over 200 strike rate and brought up his fifty in 21 balls, and created havoc against the CSK bowlers. He smacked Jamie Overton for 30 runs in the 19th over, which consisted of four sixes and one boundary. He was unbeaten at the score of 70 off 25 deliveries.
RCB scored 250/3 in their 20 overs, with 97 runs scored in the last five overs, as it was the highest ever score in an RCB vs CSK clash and also the highest score of this year's IPL as well.
Coming out to chase CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad fell early for the score of 7 runs as Jacob Duffyy picked up his first wicket in the game. Ayush Mhatre followed back soon, scoring one, and fell to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Sanju Samson and Sarfaraz Khan have a huge task to play to chase the target. But Samson fell early on the score of 9 runs.
Sarfaraz Khan took charge with scoring a 50 off 24 balls, but was dismissed soon after scoring the half-century as the fourth wicket for CSK was down. Ruturaj Gaikwad will be under huge pressure after this match, as CSK lost their three consecutive matches for the first time in the history of the IPL.
CSK were 84/5 at one stage, and with the wicket of Shivam Dube, CSK’s hopes also diminished. Though Prashant Veer and Jamie Overton stitched a 57-run partnership, Veer was dismissed on the score of 43, and Overton scored 37 off 16 balls, CSK were bowled out for the score of 207 runs.
RCB vs CSK team totals:
First innings: RCB: 250/3 (20 overs)
Second innings: CSK: 207/10 (19.4 overs)
