Indian wicket-keeper batter and former Mumbai Indians cricketer Ishan Kishan was recently spotted visiting Hardik Pandya at his residence, fueling speculation about the trade rumours between SRH and MI involving Ishan Kishan.
The IPL trade window has mostly seen the CSK and Rajasthan Royals as the two most active teams; however, teams like KKR, SRH, and MI have also been making some moves, keeping a low profile.
The Mumbai Indians have shown interest in their former player, who was released ahead of the mega-auction.
Mumbai Indians had a stellar run last season, finishing third on the points table as well as in the league after they lost to the runners-up, the Punjab Kings, in the 2nd Qualifier. Hardik Pandya marked his first successful season as the Mumbai Indians skipper.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, the runners-up from IPL 2024, did not have a very convincing season in IPL 2025 as they finished sixth in the points table after losing several of their games during the first half of the IPL.
SRH had made some startling picks in the mega-auction again, despite having retained their aggressive core of players already. They brought the likes of Ishan Kishan, Mohammed Shami, and Harshal Patel as a few of their big-budget signings.
Though Kishan too started with a century, it was followed by a pile of setbacks. After a not-so-convincing season, reports were claiming the SRH was looking for a trade deal for the keeper-batter. Mumbai Indians, the former franchise of Kishan, probably showed interest.
In a recently viral video, Kishan was spotted visiting his former teammate and Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya at his residence. This has further heightened his chances of a comeback to the MI camp.

Ishan Kishan's stats for the Mumbai Indians
Ishan Kishan led the Indian U-19 team back in the 2016 World Cup and was roped in by newcomer Ishan Kishan. He played almost a full season with the Lions in 2017 and impressed with his great ball-striking ability.
Kishan moved to the Mumbai Indians in 2018 and performed decently; however, his breakthrough season came in 2020 when he smashed 516 runs in the season with a stunning 99 in Dubai. He continued his stellar run over the 2022 and 2023 seasons and became a crucial part of the MI den.
Having made his way out of the Mumbai Indians, he moved to SRH after being released ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Kishan played the season for SRH, scoring 354 runs at an average of 35 and a strike rate over 150.
Kishan showed convincing form in the Domestic run for Jharkhand
The Mumbai Indians picked Ryan Rickelton last season with the hope that he could replace Kishan at the top, but the Protea could not manage a consistent run in the subcontinent. Hence, MI might be eager to have Kishan back at the top of the order alongside the former skipper Rohit Sharma.
Ishan too started off the domestic season with an impressive knock in the Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand. He scored a stunning 175 to lead them to a win and has been playing well, also casting hopes for a Team India return ahead of the next few ICC events.
