India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri has heaped praise on the Indian cricket team after their win against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Team India beat Australia by 8 wickets in the Boxing Day Test. The India National Cricket Team was right on the money as they avenged their Adelaide humiliation in style.
Ravi Shastri has lauded the effort from the entire team and especially the two debutants, Mohammed Siraj and Shubman Gill. Both Siraj and Gill performed exceptionally well in their debut games. While Mohammed Siraj took 5 wickets in the first Test match, Shubman Gill scored 80 runs in the Test match.

Ravi Shastri Lauds The Indian Team
Speaking after the 2nd Test, Ravi Shastri said, “No chat. When we came to Melbourne, we just said stand up and fight. “It’s a great present from the team to millions of supporters to have a very happy new year. This will go down in the annals of Indian and world cricket as one of the greatest comebacks. From being 36 all out to coming back in three days, the boys showed great composure.”

“We were blown away in Adelaide. When you’re blown away, you’re blown away. Against a team like Australia, you have to be good for 5 days, no point being good for just 1 or 2,” Shastri added.
Indian Cricket Team Level Up In The Series
The Indian Cricket Team has now levelled up in the series. They beat the mighty Australians in the Melbourne Test by 8 wickets. Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding knock in the first innings. Head coach Ravi Shastri was all praises for the side after their comprehensive win.

Now, India and Australia will collide in the third Test from January 7 at Sydney. Star Indian opener, Rohit Sharma will join the side from the third Test. Australian opener David Warner will also join the side from the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
