The Delhi Capitals needed to start well with the ball; rather, they needed to replicate something that Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood did for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, with none of the premier pacers playing, they have looked like minnows to the RCB batters.
RCB opener Jacob Bethell gave the momentum needed to the RCB innings after a scary first-innings display from the Delhi Capitals in the IPL clash between RCB and DC. He hit a humongous hit, which traveled out of the park.

When RCB needed just 76 runs to win their 12 points of the season and extend their lead over the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Rajasthan Royals in a considerable manner, young opener Bethell, who replaced Phil Salt at the top of the order, gave them a stellar start.
Though he did not add many runs, he handed the confidence to the RCB batters with two humongous hits, which were much needed after a dismal outing for the DC batters. He hit the second six off Kyle Jamieson in the third over, which travelled way out of the park.
The hit was a colossal six, which traveled for 104 m and was deposited on the roof of the stadium. This was what set the tone for a comfortable victory for the Royal Challengers.
Virat Kohli finishes in some style for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru
After Jacob Bethell was dismissed off Kyle Jamieson's next ball after the massive six against the Kiwi pacer, Devdutt Padikkal continued the momentum for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Padikkal scored 34 runs off the next 13 balls in his innings alongside Virat Kohli, the legendary Indian cricketer who reached a new feat in the history of the IPL. Padikkal seemed to be batting on a completely different track than the DC batters in the first innings.
Kohli, however, finished the game with two massive sixes off T Natarajan and winded up one of the smallest of chases in the history of the IPL.

Before going for those two big sixes, Virat Kohli took a single off Axar Patel's bowling, and with that, he reached the landmark of 9000 runs in the history of the IPL. He became the first batter to surpass the 9000-run mark, with Rohit Sharma being the second-highest run-getter behind him with 7000+ runs.
Having played in 275 matches in his career, he has amassed 9012 runs for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru over the 19 years in the history of the IPL. He has 66 half-centuries and 8 centuries to his name in the IPL.
The RCB batters looked in a hurry as they chased one of the most insignificant targets in the history of the IPL. After MI they are now the team to have finished as the team with the second-fastest chase in the history of the IPL, in just 6.3 overs.
