Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar heaped praise on ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his performance during the first Test against Bangladesh. Sanjay Manjrekar called Jasprit Bumrah a "bowler without a weakness" after his impressive performance on Day 2 of the Test match in Chennai.

The Rohit Sharma-led team dominated throughout the second day's play at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The India cricket team resumed their first innings at 339-6 but was bowled out for 376 runs. Bangladesh managed to score just 149 runs in 47.1 overs in their first innings of the match.

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for the Indian team on the second day. The pacer took four wickets for 50 runs in his 11 overs. Bumrah first dismissed Shadman Islam in his first over. He then dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim, Hasan Mahmud, and Taskin Ahmed in Bangladesh's first innings.

Jasprit Bumrah Is A Bowler Without A Weakness - Sanjay Manjrekar

In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Sanjay Manjrekar described Jasprit Bumrah as a "bowler without a weakness," regardless of the opposition or pitch conditions. Manjrekar highlighted that Indian cricket is fortunate to have such a player in the team.

"We all know about his variations, his thinking - one of the sharpest thinking fast bowlers. We saw a certain amount of meanness as well in the way he bowled to Taskin. But the one thing that came through today was that he is a bowler without a weakness - whatever the opposition, pitch conditions and that's actually the best way to judge greatness."

"You don't see any weakness at all in this guy. Indian cricket is so fortunate to have him in their side," the 59-year-old former India batter went on to add.

Bumrah reached the milestone of 400 international wickets in just 227 innings, becoming the fourth fastest to achieve this feat. The ongoing Test against Bangladesh in Chennai is his 37th red-ball match for India, where he has taken 163 wickets at an average of 20.49, including 10 five-wicket hauls.

He also has an excellent record in white-ball formats. The pacer has taken 149 wickets in 89 ODIs at an average of 23.55 and an economy rate of 4.59, including two five-wicket hauls. He has played 70 T20I matches and taken 89 wickets with an impressive average of 17.74 and an economy rate of 6.27.
