Jasprit Bumrah is the best, Ashwin-Jadeja changing India's obsession of batters- Gautam Gambhir

India head coach Gautam Gambhir is highly impressed with his team's bowling attack which consists of world-class bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja.

Gambhir claimed these bowlers are changing the trend in a country that is obsessed with batting. Gambhir also lauded India's spin twins Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja for the versatility they bring to India's bowling attack.

The pair of Ashwin and Jadeja have done extremely well over the years and deserve the plaudits for India's unbelievable home record in the last few years.

Gautam Gambhir hails India's world-class bowling attack

While speaking to the reporters on the eve of the first Test between India and Bangladesh, Gautam Gambhir was full of praises for India's bowling attack and claimed that Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja are changing the trend of a batting-obsessed nation.

"India is a batting-obsessed nation. But Bumrah, Ashwin, and Jadeja are changing that. Bumrah is smart in Test cricket. It is good these guys are changing the trend," Gambhir said.

Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja have served India for a no. of years now. They are highly experienced and are absolutely lethal on most days. When they are playing in India, they can be even more dangerous for the opposition.

Over the past few years, India's bowling attack deserves a lot of credit for the impeccable record at home. The bowlers have done consistently well even when the batters haven't been able to put their hands up on some occasions.

Meanwhile, India's head coach also shared his views on the impactful spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Gambhir feels that both have the ability to attack and defend which makes them so lethal.

"First is the impact they can create on Day 1 and Day 5. You can’t pick one whether they will be effective on day 1. We are fortunate have Ashwin and Jadeja. They can bowl defensive as well as attack," Gambhir stated.

In Indian conditions, the pair of Ashwin and Jadeja have been brilliant for India since the past decade. Both have been relentless on the opposition batting line-ups so far.

Since 2013, India haven't lost a Test series at home and Ashwin and Jadeja deserve a lots of credit for that. While they are almost unplayable on spin-friendly pitches, they have also found a way to succeed in unhelpful conditions.

The first Test between India and Bangladesh will be played in Chennai and will begin from September 19. The second Test will be played in Kanpur from September 27.
