Exciting Indian young women cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues will turn up for Northern Superchargers in the inaugural season of the ‘Hundred‘
Rodrigues will join the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma in the 100-ball tournament that consists of eight women teams.
The 20-year-old, who has featured for Yorkshire Diamonds in the now-defunct Kia Super League, is looking forward to the new experience.
“I am really looking forward to it (The Hundred). Something new, something different,” Jemimah Rodrigues told the BBC’s Stumped podcast.
“I have played for the Yorkshire Diamonds and my team is the Northern Superchargers. So, I have played a few of them before, Lauren Winfield is our captain,” Rodrigues added.

Jemimah Rodrigues has been named in the Indian Women squad that will take on England in a one-off Test followed by three ODIs and as many T20Is in the upcoming summer.
Rodrigues is currently undergoing quarantine along with other women and men Indian cricketers at a hotel in Mumbai. Both squads will board the flight to the United Kingdom on June 02.
The inaugural edition of the Women’s Hundred-ball tournament was supposed to kick off last year. But the England and Wales Cricket Board had to postpone it due to the pandemic.
The tournament will finally get underway on July 22 when Oval Invincibles Women lock horns with Manchester Originals Women at Kennington Oval in London.
