The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the ICC Test Rankings after the conclusion of the first Test between Pakistan and South Africa on Saturday. Indian batsmen, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have gained spots in the fresh ICC Test Rankings after their heroic performance against Australia in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar trophy.
Star Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has slipped a spot in the ICC Test Rankings after his failure in the recently concluded Test match between Pakistan and South Africa. The top 5 including Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Virat Kohli, and Joe Root have maintained their top 5 spots respectively.
Indian Batsmen Gain Positions As ICC Releases Latest Test Rankings
The ICC, on Saturday, released the latest Test rankings wherein Indian batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have gained one spot each. Cheteshwar Pujara has claimed one spot and reached the 6th spot in the batsmen rankings. Babar Azam has gone down a spot and is currently at number 7. Ajinkya Rahane, the stand-in Indian skipper on the Australian tour, has gained a spot and reached the 8th spot in the rankings.
Kiwi star Henry Nicholls, who had a decent outing against Pakistan, has gained a spot and is currently placed at the 9th spot. English all-rounder Ben Stokes claims the final spot in the top 10 ICC Test Batsmen Rankings.

Ravichandran Ashwin And Jasprit Bumrah Remain The Two Indian Bowlers In Top 10
Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah are the only two Indian bowlers in the top 10 of the ICC Test Rankings. Pat Cummins, Stuart Broad, Neil Wagner, Josh Hazlewood, and Tim Southee maintain the top 5 spots respectively. English pacer James Anderson has climbed a spot to go on the sixth position. Kagiso Rabada has lost a spot and slipped to the 7th position.
