Kane Williamson, the captain of New Zealand, seemed enthusiastic about his team’s upcoming two-phase visit to Pakistan in 2022 and 2023. The Black Caps are slated to play two Tests and three ODIs in Karachi and Multan from December 23 to January 15.
The Kiwis will then travel to Pakistan to play five ODIs and as many T20Is in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi from April 13 to May 5.
Pakistan Is A Formidable Team in all formats: Kane Williamson
Pakistan, according to Williamson, is a difficult side to defeat because of their strong balance and array of talented fast bowlers.
“It’s really exciting playing cricket back in Pakistan. Such a rich cricketing history, so many incredible matches that have been played here and we are really looking forward to that experience,” in a video that was posted on Pakistan Cricket’s Twitter account, Williamson is heard stating.
“Pakistan is a team that is formidable in all formats, so we know it’s a tough task, but it’s a challenge we look forward to,” he stated.
Kane Williamson Hails Babar Azam
Williamson, 32, also had kind words to say about Babar Azam, whose batting average in ODIs is around 60.
“As a team they are always well-balanced. They have produced a lot of fast bowlers and have the batting to go with it all. Their captain Babar Azam is the top in the world,” Williamson added.
At the National Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan recently welcomed England for seven Twenty20 Internationals. The Men in Green will take against the Three Lions in a three-match Test series later this year.
Currently, Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh is competing in a T20I tri-series with Pakistan and New Zealand.
