Kartik Tyagi Bought By Gujarat Titans For 60 Lakhs In IPL Auction 2024

Former India U19 pacer Kartik Tyagi will be representing Gujarat Titans in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The Gujarat-based outfit, on Tuesday (December 19), signed him up in the ongoing IPL auction 2024.
Kartik Tyagi had registered himself at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs. Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders also showed interest in the right-arm pacer but Gujarat Titans eventually managed to outbid them to secure the pacer’s services for IPL 2024.
Kartik Tyagi was one of the six players released by Sunrisers Hyderabad last month. The former India U19 star became an overnight sensation after his impressive display in the 2020 U19 World Cup where he impressed one and all with his pace.
He picked up 11 wickets in helped the team make it to the final. He began his IPL journey with Rajasthan Royals and played two seasons for them before being signed up by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022. He played a couple of seasons for the Hyderabad-based outfit too before being released. So far, he has played 19 IPL matches and picked up 15 wickets.
