The actor also used to support Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) earlier. She recently admitted that veteran cricketer Rahul Dravid is her favourite.
“I like Rahul Dravid, who I believe is a true gentleman… He never seems to get upset, angry or hyper. Having said that I have never spoken more than three words with him. He is very shy,” Cricket Country quoted Katrina Kaif as saying.
Dravid, who is serving as a coach of India’s young teams, is known to be a calm headed man and one of the greatest cricketers.
Hailed as Wall, Dravid has a lot of fan following on blocks for him due to his great skills with the bat. Dravid is known for his technique and had been one of the best batsmen for the Indian cricket team.
In the beginning, he was known as a defensive batsman who should be confined to Test cricket and was eventually dropped from the One-day International squad due to a low strike-rate.
However, in a period of his career, he began consistently scoring runs in ODIs as well. Subsequently, it earned him the ICC Player of the Year award in 2004.
Dravid has also served as the coach for the inagural IPL winners Rajasthan Royals before serving Delhi Daredevils.
Recently, under the guidance of Rahul Dravid, India Under-19 team under the leadership of Prithvi Shaw lifted the World Cup title in New Zealand, earlier this year.
