With England staring down a defeat in the second Test against India, the complaints regarding the nature of the track dished out by the hosts at the Chepauk, have increased manyfold from not only their fans as well as their former cricketers.

After Michael Vaughan criticized the pitch, former batsman Kevin Pietersen has now joined the bandwagon.

Pietersen took to his official Twitter account on Sunday to take a sarcastic jibe at the Virat Kohli-led Team India.

Kevin Pietersen reckoned that it was a brave move by Team India to dish out a raging turner as he feels that had the home side lost the toss then they would have gone down 0-2 in the four-match series.

“Such a brave wicket to prepare for a Test match IN India when India are down in the series. If India had lost the toss, they’d have gone down 2-0. Very very brave! Well tossed, @imVkohli ?”

Pietersen’s tweet came at a time when England’s batting-unit was being bamboozled by the genius of Ravichandran Ashwin, who claimed yet another five-wicket-haul- 29th to be precise- on the second-day track in Chennai.

After having bowled India out for 329 in the morning session, England found itself in all sorts of trouble as they lost their first four wickets before Lunch.

Once again it was Ashwin, who did the bulk of the damage for the home side as he made the English batsmen dance to his tune.

Ashwin notched up figures of 5/43 and England was eventually knocked over for 134; 195 runs adrift of India’s first innings total.
