Pakistan National Cricket Team have received a massive boost ahead of the upcoming Test series against the England National Cricket Team. Pacer Khurram Shahzad has avoided injury and will be fit for the three-match Test series against the Ben Stokes-led side.

Khurram Shahzad, who has had quite a few injuries in the past, has avoided a massive injury scare. The fast bowler suffered an injury during the second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, which took place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

On the last day of the game, Khurram Shahzad wasn't on the field against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The fast bowler was in discomfort during the game, and after the match, he complained of pain and stiffness on the left side of his body.

Shahzad was then taken for scans, and as per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it was learned that the fast bowler had avoided any fracture. The pacer has been advised by the doctors to take a brief period of rest, and there is a high chance that he will be fit for the Test series against the England National Cricket Team.

The injury to Shahzad in the second Test came as a massive concern for the pacer as well as the Pakistan team. The right-arm pacer recently faced an injury during his debut Test series in Australia, which was a stress fracture of the rib, and then he was ruled out for a long time due to the same.

Khurram Shahzad made a comeback in the Test series against Bangladesh, and with him facing another injury scare, he won't be taking part in the domestic circuit competition. The pacer will be missing the Champions One-Day Cup set to start next week.

Pakistan team management wants the pacer to be fully fit for the Test series against the England National Cricket Team, which will begin on October 7 in Multan. The reports claimed that the pacer will be having another MRI scan conducted next week as his progress is monitored.
