Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant was furious at Khaleel Ahmed after the latter failed to execute the bowling plans well in the recently-concluded game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens.

The incident took place in the sixth over of the KKR innings. Phil Salt had given the hosts a solid start as he took his former team to the cleaners. At the end of the fifth over, KKR were on 61 for no loss while chasing a modest 154. Salt had scored 42 of those 61 runs while Sunil Narine played the role of the second fiddle.

The onus was on Khaleel Ahmed to bowl a good sixth over and help DC end the powerplay on a good note. However, the left-arm pacer failed to deliver as Salt smashed him for three fours and a six in the over. Khaleel began with a dot delivery before conceding a four.

The third ball was a dot as well before the DC bowler bowled one right in the slot. It was a full-length delivery right in the arc and Salt smashed the ball over long-off for a six. And as Khaleel Ahmed conceded the six, the cameras caught a furious Rishabh Pant venting his frustration at his teammate. The wicketkeeper-batsman could be seen telling Khaleel: "Bahar daalna yaar."

Talking about the game, KKR thrashed DC by seven wickets to get back to winning ways. Chasing 154, KKR crossed the finishing line in the 17th over. Salt starred with the bat, scoring 68 runs off just 33 balls to lay the foundation for the chase. Shreyas Iyer (33*) and Venkatesh Iyer (26*) then shared an unbeaten 57-run stand to take KKR home comfortably.

Earlier in the game, DC finished their innings on 153/9 after deciding to bat first. DC lost the wickets of Prithvi Shaw, Jake Fraser-McGurk, and Shai Hope inside the powerplay and just could not recover. Kuldeep Yadav (35) was the only DC player to touch the 30-run mark. For KKR, Varun Chakravarthy picked up three wickets while Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana claimed two wickets each.
