Kolkata Knight Riders, on Monday (April 29), made a brilliant start with the ball in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens.

The two-time champions had endured a nightmare with the ball in their last outing at home as they failed to defend 261 runs against Punjab Kings last week. PBKS chased down the total with utmost ease in the end as they crossed the finishing line in 18.4 overs.

KKR needed to bounce back strongly after the poor outing and their bowlers responded in style after DC won the toss and opted to bat first. In the second over, Vaibhav Arora dismissed Prithvi Shaw for 13 to give KKR the crucial first breakthrough. The ball was going down the leg side and Shaw ended up edging it to the wicketkeeper.

In the very next over, Mitchell Starc, who missed the last match due to a finger injury, gave KKR the huge wicket of Jake Fraser-McGurk. After being hit for a six and a four by his compatriot, the left-arm pacer sent him back for 12 runs.

Vaibhav Arora dismisses Shai Hope:

After wickets in the second and third overs, KKR got a wicket in the fourth over as well when Vaibhav Arora dismissed Shai Hope with an absolute beauty. On the second ball of the fourth over, the West Indies star hit Arora for a six after the latter bowled a short ball.

And on the very next ball, Arora won the duel by dismissing Hope. The right-arm pacer was getting some swing from the very start and he managed to make the most of it. It was a length ball that angled in and Hope decided to defend it. However, the ball nipped away at the last moment to completely square up Hope before hitting the top of the off stump.
