It was during the third ball of the second over when Mitchell Starc bowled a full delivery. Virat Kohli made room outside the leg stump. He got forced to loft it over the wide long-on. What caught the attention of many was it was a no-look shot and it traveled a distance.

Here's the video:

Virat Kohli seemed to be all set for a big knock but his stay at the crease was marred by the controversial dismissal. During the 1st ball of the third over, Harshit Rana bowled a high full-toss and followed the batter, who was standing outside the leg stump. The ball lobbed up and was caught by the pacer. However, the batter was amazed.

Virat Kohli immediately went for a review as he was confident that the ball was over the waist. However, the third umpire didn't seem to be on the same page with Kohli. The official said that the ball had dipped and he gave the decision in favor of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Virat Kohli got furious with the decision as he didn't agree with the third umpire. On his way back to the pavilion, he was extremely angry and walked off while shaking his head. The reviews, however, later showed that the ball would have been below the waist had Kohli been in his normal batting stance.

Virat Kohli ended with an innings of 18 runs off just 7 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 257 and scored 1 four and 2 sixes in his innings. He was the first wicket for Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they lost him for the team score of 27 runs at the Eden Gardens.

After Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis perishes for the low score as well

After Virat Kohli got out, Faf du Plessis tried to get going but he couldn't. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper was removed by Varun Chakravarty in the over after Kohli got out. The spinner bowled a full delivery which the batter tried to loft.

It seemed that ball would go for four but Venkatesh Iyer came in between. He got across to his left and dived to take it two-handed low catch at the mid-on. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper ended with the innings of 7 runs in 7 balls and hit just one four in his innings.
