Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul is reportedly considering contributing effectively in the middle order in the Indian Premier League 2024. KL Rahul is exploring the possibility of taking on a new role, given the presence of many top-order batters in their lineup.
Rahul initially started his IPL career as a middle-order batter before making the transition to a regular opener for the Punjab Kings in 2018. Following this shift, the batter consistently scored more than 600 runs in every IPL season, with the exceptions of 2019 and 2023.
The 31-year-old scored 593 runs at an impressive average of 53.91 and a strike rate of 135.39. In the recent edition, he amassed 274 runs at a subpar strike rate of 113.22. Unfortunately, Rahul’s season was marred by a thigh injury sustained while fielding against the RCB team.

LSG released several Indian players, including Avesh Khan, Jaydev Unadkat, Karun Nair, Manan Vohra, Karan Sharma, Suryansh Shedge, Swapnil Singh, and Arpit Guleria. With a remaining purse of Rs 13.15 crore, they can acquire a maximum of six players, including two foreigners.
