The loyal fan base of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru is urging their former opening batsman KL Rahul to return to the franchise in IPL 2025.

"Come to RCB" is the most trending topic on X at the moment and all the credit behind this social media trend goes to none other than LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka. Following Lucknow's 10-wicket loss to the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium, Goenka was seen lashing out at KL Rahul for his team's humiliating loss which narrowed their chances of reaching the play-offs.

Why did Sanjiv Goenka lash out at KL Rahul?

After the Lucknow Super Giants won the toss, KL Rahul elected to bat first but the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers were on fire. They quickly removed Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis from the crease while Rahul had a terrible outing of 29 off 33.

LSG were not even looking close to scoring 150 but Nicholas Pooran's 48 off 26 and Ayush Badoni's 55 off 30 took their total to 165, leaving 166 as the target.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad, who entered this fixture after losing 2 of their last 3 matches, needed to put up a strong response and that's what they exactly did. The deadly duo of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma took out all their frustration against Krishnappa Gowtham, Yash Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi, Nanveen-ul-Haq, and Ayush Badoni. All of them conceded more than 10 runs per over.

Head and Abhishek ended up stitching a 167-run partnership, finishing the game off by 9.4 overs. LSG were defeated by SRH in a one-sided and humiliating manner which owner Sanjiv Goenka was furious about.

Goenka took LSG skipper KL Rahul near him towards the dugout and the visuals of their conversation did not look convincing at all. The LSG owner was seen saying things aggressively and was also making hand gestures to Rahul.

The expert pundits noticed that and claimed that KL Rahul wasn't supposed to be in that situation and that Goenka should have done that somewhere else. The video of Goenka and the LSG skipper is going viral across all social media platforms with fans backing Rahul to leave the franchise next season.

RCB fans jumped into it as well and are constantly pleading with KL Rahul to return to the Bengaluru-based outfit where he has played 3 seasons.
