Kuldeep Yadav has reacted to the hate he received from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans after he brutally trolled the franchise for not winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy during a live segment.

However, it was just a reaction from the spinner after the RCB fan tried to troll him. Kuldeep is a diehard fan of FC Barcelona, and he was talking about his love and passion for the sport during a podcast.

Kuldeep Yadav’s witty jibe at RCB leaves fans fuming

Well, an RCB fan tried to troll Kuldeep during the livestream by suggesting the Indian spinner join the IPL franchise as a goalkeeper. He commented, “Kuldeep bhai, RCB me aa jao, ek goalkeeper ki jarurat hai (Kuldeep bro, please join RCB; we need a goalkeeper).”

This didn’t go down well with the Chinaman bowler and showed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans the best of the humorous side. Kuldeep Yadav gave a savage reply to the RCB fan during the live segment, as the left-arm spinner took a playful dig at RCB's IPL title drought, saying they need a trophy, not a goalkeeper.

Giving a witty reply to the fan, Kuldeep said, “Tumhe goalkeeper ki nahi, trophy ki jarurat hai, mere bhai. Goalkeeper ka kya karoge? You don't need a goalkeeper. You need a trophy. What will you do with a goalkeeper?” Well, RCB is one of the most loved franchises, and its fans are beyond loyal.

Chill, RCB Fans: Kuldeep Yadav reacts to backlash over IPL trophy jibe

Kuldeep’s trolling of the RCB didn’t sit well with the fans because the India spinner hit them where it hurt the most. As soon as the clip of Kuldeep’s jibe went viral on social media, RCB fans went berserk at the Delhi Capitals spinner, as they have been slamming and trolling Yadav for his comments.

Amid the uproar, Kuldeep took to his social media platform X to try to ease the tension and calm the angry RCB fans by saying the IPL trophy is now theirs. However, the spinner hilariously said that he is not a goalkeeper. He posted on X: “Chill, RCB fans… Trophy aapki hai. 🏆🙌🏻 Par me goal keeper ni hu 😂”

Notably, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has not reached an IPL final since 2016. The Bengaluru-based franchise reached the finals thrice in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but lost the title to the now-defunct Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings, and SunRisers Hyderabad, respectively.

Kuldeep Yadav set to return to action with England ODIs

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav last played for India in the home Test series against New Zealand, where he suffered a groin injury that required surgery, and since then, the chinaman bowler has been sidelined. He has been recovering at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

However, Kuldeep is now gearing up for his comeback in the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, starting on February 6. He was also named in India’s squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but before this event, England ODIs are crucial for him to rediscover his rhythm and prove his match-winning abilities once again
