Looks Like Rain May Be Saving Indians Here: Michael Vaughan After Rain Delays The Start Of Day 05

The 5th and final day of the first Test between England and India was expected to be a thrilling affair but persistent rain in Nottingham is threatening to turn it into a damp squib.
It has been raining in Nottingham since early morning and the forecast till late Afternoon makes for sorry reading.
As a result, the first season is likely to be entirely washed out, leaving both sides just two sessions- provided the rain gods are kind enough- to enforce a result.
Even if the rain stops and play resumes later in the day, it is likely to remain overcast and with the pitch taking so much rain, the moisture in the track could make batting extremely difficult against a world-class seam bowling attack in England.

Nevertheless, we fans continue to wait for the rain to relent, former England captain Michael Vaughan, who loves doing bait tweets just to stay in the news, did the same this afternoon as he tweeted that rain is saving the Indians.
“Looks like Rain may be saving Indian here … ? #ENGvIND” tweeted Michael Vaughan.

For the uninitiated, this is the same Michael Vaughan who predicted a 3-1 win for Team India at the start of the series. Meanwhile, early Lunch has been taken in Nottingham and we are still some time away from getting an official update regarding the start of the day’s play.
