Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah stole the limelight in the ongoing 1st match of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 between Jaffna Kings and Colombo Strikers at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Naseem Shah bowled decently in the first innings of the game but what caught the attention of many was his send-off to Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz after taking his wicket. The Jaffna Kings batter tried to take them to the cleaners and played some fine strokes.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz on the 4th ball of the Naseem Shah’s over smoked him for a gigantic six and this didn’t go well with the pacer. On the next ball, the Colombo Strikers pacer deceived him with the slower ball and Ramesh Mendis took a staggering running catch to dismiss the batter for 21 runs.
After dismissing Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Naseem Shah was pumped up and gave him an aggressive send-off and shared some words with him. But the keeper batter didn’t look interested and walked off with his head down. The video went viral on the internet.
