Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be eyeing their third win of the season when they face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 21st match of IPL 2025. The game is scheduled to take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday (April 8).

Lucknow Super Giants have won two of their first four games and are currently in the bottom half of the points table. They will be eyeing a win in the upcoming game to get some much-needed momentum.

The Lucknow-based outfit began its campaign with a defeat against the Delhi Capitals. In their second game of the season, Lucknow Super Giants thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad to return to winning ways. However, they suffered a loss again in their third game, with Punjab Kings beating them by eight wickets.

LSG bounced back once again with a thrilling 12-run win over the Mumbai Indians in their last game. They are yet to win two games in a row this season and will be keen to win the upcoming match.

So, as Lucknow Super Giants gear up to face the defending champions, we are taking a look at the LSG Playing 11 for the upcoming contest at the Eden Gardens.

LSG Playing 11 vs KKR - Match 21, IPL 2025:

Openers: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh

Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh are set to be the openers in the Lucknow Super Giants' Playing 11 for the upcoming game. They gave LSG a solid start with the bat in the last game and will be eyeing a similar performance in the upcoming game as well.

Marsh came out all guns blazing and smashed 60 runs off just 31 balls to help Lucknow Super Giants get off to a winning start. Markram also managed to ease the pressure off himself with a timely fifty. The South African star scored 53 runs off 38 balls.

Middle-order: Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Abdul Samad,

Nicholas Pooran had a rare failure with the bat. After scoring two fifties and a 40-plus score in the first three games, Pooran was out for 12 runs against the Mumbai Indians. The left-hander will be looking to make amends against KKR.

Rishabh Pant will be desperate to turn things around after enduring yet another failure with the bat in the last game. While Lucknow Super Giants won the match, their captain could not lead the team from the front. Pant was out for 2 runs off 6 balls and will be looking to do well against KKR.

Ayush Badoni and David Miller played crucial knocks for the Lucknow-based outfit, scoring 30 and 27 runs respectively. Abdul Samad, on the other hand, failed to deliver with the bat but is expected to retain his spot in the LSG Playing 11.

Bowlers: Shardul Thakur, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Akash Deep, Avesh Khan

All the bowlers are also set to retain their spots in the LSG Playing 11 after defending the total against the Mumbai Indians. Lucknow Super Giants are likely to play with three pacers - Shardul Thakur, Akash Deep, and Avesh Khan - and one frontline spinner, Digvesh Rathi.
