Trent Boult once again made an impact in his very first over as he gave Rajasthan Royals a flying start with the ball in their ongoing game against Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first. And it did not take Trent Boult long to justify his captain's decision. The left-arm pacer was hit for fours on his first two deliveries by LSG opener Quinton de Kock but ended up having the last laugh.

On the third ball, Trent Boult ended de Kock's stay at the crease with an absolute beauty. It was a short of good length delivery from the New Zealand star. De Kock wanted to play on the on side but was outfoxed by the late movement of the ball. The ball nipped back in at the last moment before going on to hit the off-stump.

Watch as Trent Boult dismisses Quinton de Kock:

Talking about the game, LSG were on 21 for 2 in the fourth over at the time of writing this report. In the second over, Sandeep Sharma castled Marcus Stoinis for a duck to put RR in the driver's seat. KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda were batting and LSG will be hoping that the duo guides them to a good total.

Trent Boult extends his record:

Trent Boult has further extended his record of taking most wickets in the first over of a match in the IPL. In the last game against Mumbai Indians, he dismissed Rohit Sharma in the first over to break Bhuvneshwar Kumar's record. While Bhuvneshwar has picked up a wicket in the first over 25 times, Trent Boult has now done it 27 times.

Most wickets in first over in IPL:

27 - Trent Boult
25 - Bhuvneshwar Kumar
15 - Praveen Kumar
13 - Sandeep Sharma
