Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul played a vital hand for his team in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The 44th game of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

KL Rahul, who opened the innings for the team, continued his decent touch in the league as he played another magnificent innings. The skipper led from the front and bailed his team out of trouble after they lost two early wickets in the powerplay.

KL Rahul soaked in all the pressure and made sure that he put the opposition on the back foot. He batted with an aggressive mindset and helped his team get past the 150-run mark at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

KL Rahul, however, failed to end the innings on high as he perished in the 18th over of the game. The Lucknow Super Giants were disappointed with the way he got out and his reaction after getting out went viral on the internet.

Avesh Khan bowled a short ball outside off to which KL Rahul reached out for a slash. He managed to hit the ball uppishly and holed out to the deep backward point where Trent Boult took a low catch. As the batter got out, he yelled in frustration.

I just bettered what I was doing last year - Deepak Hooda on his innings

Deepak Hooda talked about his innings against Rajasthan Royals, saying that he tried to better what he did last season. He admitted that he never thought that it would be his day. The LSG batter also talked about the track, saying that his team has got the par total. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:

"I just bettered what I was doing the last year, took my domestic form into the IPL. The wicket demanded it (on his off-side shots), one side was longer, and one side was short. I never thought that it would be my day.

"I think this is a par score, the wicket is good, we'll have to use the longer side and use our variations., You can't slog blindly, have to be smart and it's a challenge for the bowlers as well. The confidence is high and we're hoping for the best," he concluded.
