T Natarajan’s outstanding ball handling during their most recent game against Rajasthan Royals was lauded by Brian Lara. Even though he lost the game, Natarajan showed his talent and had a great return after getting hurt. Although Lara conceded that the left-arm pacer had given up 17 runs in the first over, he only allowed six runs to be scored in the following two overs.
“I was very, very impressed with Natarajan’s comeback. He got hit for runs in the first over but then comeback strongly in his last three overs,” Brian Lara told reporters.

“At one point, we thought we would be chasing 220 plus but our bowlers did well at the back end of the game and restricted them to 203 for 5,” Brian Lara added.
“We lost both the powerplays in drastic ways”- Brian Lara
Rajasthan had a victorious start to their IPL 2023 campaign as they beat Hyderabad by 72 runs. Brian Lara, the cricket legend and commentator, claimed that Hyderabad may have lost due to two flawed power plays.
“If you split the game into two halves. We lost the first powerplay with the ball in our hands. And when we had the bats in our hands, we also lost the powerplay again. We lost both the powerplays in drastic ways. They got 85 with the bat, and then losing two wickets in the first over set you back when you are chasing over 200,” Brian Lara told reporters.
“We know where we are as a team. It came with a devastating defeat, but it’s just the beginning of the tournament and we will look to bounce back from here,” Brian Lara added.
Rajasthan Royals performed admirably in their recent match against Hyderabad. Their batting team, led by Jos Buttler, Yashaswi Jaiswal, and skipper Sanju Samson, played admirably, allowing them to register an amazing total of 203 runs in 20 overs. Their bowlers were as brilliant, with Chahal leading the attack with 4 for 17.
