Marco Jansen smashes stunning no-look six off Ravindra Jadeja in Guwahati Test

South Africa all-rounder Marco Jansen smashed a no-look six off India’s left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja on Day 2 (Sunday, November 23) of the second Test match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The right-handed batter nonchalantly deposited Jadeja’s delivery over the deep midwicket fence.
South Africa started the second day at 247 for 6, with Senuran Muthusamy and Kyle Verreynne at stumps. The batters played through the first session without losing a wicket. However, Jadeja broke the 88-run stand by dismissing Verreynne in the second session. Jansen came to the crease at No. 8 in the first innings.

Marco Jansen showed aggression against the Indian spinners from the start. On the third ball of the 123rd over in South Africa’s innings, Jansen stepped forward to a fuller delivery, cleared his front leg, and used his long reach to generate enormous power.
The right-handed batter struck the ball high and straight over the long-on boundary. The shot travelled around 84 metres, showing his intent to take on the bowling early in his innings.
