Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar wished legendary skipper MS Dhoni on the occasion of his 42nd birthday on Friday, July 7. Sachin Tendulkar posted a birth message on his social media handle, Twitter, adding that he may always fly high, like his helicopter shots.

MS Dhoni, who made his international debut in 2004, retired from international cricket in 2022 after a remarkable 16-year career. He played 538 matches for India across formats, scoring 17,266 runs with an average of 44.96. He smashed 16 centuries and 108 fifties.

Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to wish MS Dhoni a happy 42nd birthday. Sachin shared an image with Dhoni in the post.

“May you always fly high like your helicopter shots. Happy birthday, MS!,” Tendulkar posted on Twitter.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag joined in wishing MS Dhoni on his social media platform. Sehwag highlighted the significance of the number 7, which is associated with Dhoni’s jersey number.

The 42-year-old represented India in 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is. He scored 4,876 runs, 10,773 runs, and 1,617 runs in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, respectively. The former Indian skipper was the only captain to win all three white-ball ICC trophies.

The Jarkharnd-born cricketer led the team nation to a trophy in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007. He went on to guide the team to trophies in the 2011 ODI World Cup at home and the 2013 Champions Trophy in England.
