Indian opener Mayank Agarwal became the target of ever-funny New Zealand’s James Neesham after he was trolled for posting a photo of himself working out ahead of the fourth and final Test against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad.
Both the teams are sweating it out before the final Test match of the series. India leads the series 2-1 and only needs to win or draw the 4th Test in order to qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship and face New Zealand at the Lord’s, London in June. England has crashed out of the race after losing the third Test by 10 wickets, which was a D/N Test played with a pink ball.
The England team and many former cricketers from the country were not happy with the pitch used in the third Test, which spun from ball one, and the match ended under two days, with 17 wickets falling on day 2 itself. Axar Patel picked 11/70, while Ravichandran Ashwin took seven wickets.
England coach Chris Silverwood said that the team management had an informal word with match referee Javagal Srinath and was considering lodging an official complaint. However, former England captain Kevin Pietersen rebuked Silverwood for his words and asked the team to stop whining about the pitch and make themselves better.
James Neesham Gets Mayank Agarwal With One Of The Best Burns
New Zealand cricketer James Neesham is undoubtedly one of the funniest cricketers on social media. He has a legion of fans on both Instagram and Twitter only because of his wit and funny quips. Also, he is not afraid to roast and troll his fellow cricketers, and this time the target was his Punjab Kings’ teammate Mayank Agarwal.
Neesham, who will turn out for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021, was part of the Punjab Kings’ franchise in IPL 2020 and though he didn’t have a great outing, he made some good friends it seems and Mayank Agarwal was one of them.
Agarwal, who is part of the Indian Test squad for the ongoing England Test series, posted a photo on social media while training.
“It’s about effort. And when you bring that effort every single day, that’s where transformation happens. #workhardplayhard #mondaymotivation,” he captioned it.
And soon Neesham was onto Agarwal and trolled him by saying, “Congratulations! Boy or girl?”, leaving fans gasping for air as they were laughing.
