In the 49th match of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2020-21, Melbourne Renegades will combat Brisbane Heat on January 23 (Saturday) in Melbourne. This will be the second meeting of the two sides. Heat had registered a comfortable win against Renegades in the first meeting.

But Melbourne Renegades are coming off an unbelievable win in their last match against arch-rival Melbourne Stars. Notably, this was only their third win of the season. They have lost nine matches out of 12 played and are lying at the bottom of the points table.

Even if they win the match against Brisbane Heat, it’s hard for them to return to the competition and enter the playoffs. But the win against the Heat will boost some confidence and help them to end the tournament on a high note.

Here let’s take a look at Melbourne Renegades’ predicted playing XI:

Melbourne Renegades captain Aaron Finch is the main man of his side. The team totally depends on his batting display but he hasn’t stood up to the expectation. In the last six matches, he hasn’t even 20 runs in a match while has been out for duck two times. With only two matches left to play, the southpaw will look to score runs for his side.
