The 12th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is currently taking place between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium. The visitors won the toss and decide to field first. Their decision to bowl first has paid off as their bowlers have asserted their authority over the MI batters.
MI skipper Rohit Sharma (21) and Ishan Kishan (32) took the team off the flier as they stitched 38 runs for the opening partnership. But after that nothing has gone their way as they lost wickets in clusters and were under pressure.

It was during the 8th over of the innings when Mitchell Santner bowled a down-the-leg delivery to which Suryakumar Yadav tried to sweep. The umpire signaled the wide ball but skipper MS Dhoni was quick to appeal and reviewed the decision straightaway after his appeal for caught behind was turned down.

The review showed that the batter had gloved the ball as the ultra edge showed a spike that saw the batter back in the hut for just 1 run. After Dhoni’s decision to take the review was successful, the crowd went berserk and cheer for CSK.
