Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Rohit Sharma is trending all over the internet as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between five-time champions and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is on. The 67th game of the tournament between the teams is underway at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

There are a lot of rumors about the ongoing IPL 2024 against Lucknow Super Giants to be the last game for Rohit Sharma in the Mumbai Indians colors. There have been a lot of hints about that too as many things have gone viral on the internet about the same as well.

One of the major hints that caught the attention of many was when Romario Shepherd took the autograph from Rohit Sharma. The West Indies all-rounder came out of the dressing room to the balcony and asked the senior batter for his sign on the bat.

Here's the video:

With players coming up to him, it potentially hints that Rohit Sharma might leave Mumbai Indians after the ongoing season. The batter recently was seen sitting in the dressing room of the Kolkata Knight Riders when the game between his team and KKR took place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The rumors of Rohit Sharma joining Kolkata Knight Riders came into the limelight more when his conversation with KKR mentor Abhishek Nayar went viral on the internet. The video was posted by the Kolkata Knight Riders but they later deleted it as Rohit's words shook the internet. He stated:

"Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai...Woh unke upar hai...Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai (Everything is changing one by one... It's on them... Whatever, but it's my home brother, it's the temple that I constructed). Bhai mera kya mera to ye last hai (brother, this is my last anyway).

This all started just ahead of the Indian Premier League. The Mumbai Indians management removed Rohit Sharma from the captaincy and made Hardik Pandya the leader of the team. Since there there have been a lot of things going on in the franchise and fans too haven't accepted the all-rounder, booing the captain of the team.

Rohit Sharma to play crucial role as Mumbai Indians need 215 runs to win against Lucknow Super Giants

Mumbai Indians have been set a target of 215 runs to chase by the Lucknow Super Giants. They opted to field first and they had a great start with the ball as they reduced the opposition to 69/3 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

But after that, Nicholas Pooran (75) and KL Rahul (55) played a vital hand for their team. Before Ayush Badoni (22*) finished the innings on high for his team. Based on the collective effort with the bat, Lucknow Super Giants posted a gigantic total of 214 runs on the board.

The focus will be on Rohit Sharma as Mumbai Indians will be looking to chase the target. The batter started off the season on high. However, since the last few games he hasn't been able to get going. He would be hoping to end on high and get some runs under his belt.
