Mumbai Indians (MI) head coach Mark Boucher feels that skipper Rohit Sharma shouldn’t take a break in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as he’s playing well. He said that if he wants to take a rest he can come up but he hasn’t done so far which means he’s available.
Rohit Sharma has featured in all the games so far in the ongoing IPL 2023. Although he hasn’t piled up a huge amount of runs but has been giving his team a fiery start. The batter has scored 181 runs so far in 7 games and has smashed one half-century.

Boucher also feels that Rohit shouldn’t take a rest but if he wants to, he will consider that. Speaking to the reporters, he said:
“No, I don’t think he should take rest. That’s not my call to make. Obviously, we want Rohit playing, because he’s a very good player, and a leader as well,”
“If it is the best for Rohit, and he comes up to me and says that ‘you know, I need a bit of a break’ then yes, we will address that, and I will consider that. He hasn’t done that. So yes at the moment, if he is available to play, he will play.”
