Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has somewhat celebrated India's win against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup by blasting the Men in Green for the way they played on Sunday.

Chasing 120 to win, they fell short by six runs as India restricted them to 113/7. This was Pakistan's seventh loss to India in T20 World Cup. The Men in Green have now lost their first two games in the World Cup and their qualification chances are in jeopardy.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first. The pitch at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York was the focal point. The Pakistan bowlers were on point and took wickets at regular intervals to bowl out India for a meager 119. The pitch did not play any tricks and played a lot better than it did in the first game between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan were well-placed in the chase till Mohammad Rizwan was batting. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him off the very first ball of his second spell in the 15th over. From 80/4 after Rizwwan's wicket, Pakistan failed to chase down the last 30-odd runs. From 80/4, Pakistan were down to 102/7 and finally ended at 113/7. Arshdeep Singh defended 18 off the final over.

Jasprit Bumrah was the Man of the Match for his spell of 3/14 which included 15 dot balls. This was India's seventh win against Pakistan in T20 World Cups the most for the Men in Blue against any team.

Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan took a dig at the Pakistan cricket team saying that they just cannot win games. They capitulated against the USA and lost against India from a potentially winning position.

"Sometimes really poor pitches produce the best games .. this was one of them .. Pakistan just don’t believe they can win .. Simple as that .. #INDvsPAK" Vaughan wrote on X (formerly Twitter) after Pakistan's loss to India.

In his tweet, he also took a dig at the New York pitch which has been a talking point since the start of the tournament. However, prior to the games before, this pitch was a lot better and Pakistan bowlers bowled very well just as well the Indian bowlers did in the second innings. There were no demons on the pitch and Pakistan just crumbled under pressure in the chase.

Meanwhile, it was Jasprit Bumrah who turned the game around for India. He first dismissed Babar Azam (13) in his first spell and came back to dismiss Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed in his second spell to take the sting out of Pakistan's chase.  India next takes on the USA on June 12 while Pakistan plays Canada on June 12. Both matches will be played in New York.
