MIG Cricket Club honors Hardik Pandya and three other T20 World Cup stars with Lifetime Memberships

Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal received special appreciation from the MIG Cricket Club following India's 2024 T20 World Cup victory. Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were honored with honorary life membership by the MIG Cricket Club.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar once trained at the MIG Cricket Club. Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal have moved to Mumbai and live in Bandra. Both Hardik and Krunal train regularly at the club. The left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder has also been granted life membership by the MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai.

Several Indian cricketers, including KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan, Nilesh Kulkarni, and Subroto Banerjee, have been awarded honorary life membership by the club. Former women's cricketer Sulakshana Naik and billiards player Kamal Chawla were also honored.

Granted Honorary Life Membership To All The Indian cricket And Billiards Players - MIG general secretary

The renowned Bandra-based MIG Cricket Club awarded life memberships to 14 cricketers (15 sportspersons) on Saturday. Sachin Tendulkar and Jemimah Rodrigues are among the club's existing life members.

MIG general secretary Shrikant Shetty announced that the club awarded honorary life memberships to Indian cricket and billiards players, honoring their contributions to the sport. Shrikant stated that these players will have access to the club's facilities, exclusive events, and community engagement.

“MIG CC is delighted to announce that the club has granted honorary life membership to all the Indian cricket and billiards players. We are proud to extend this honorary life membership to our cricketing heroes. This prestigious recognition honours their dedication, achievements and contributions to the sport of cricket and billiards in India,” Shetty told TOI.

“Proposed by cricket secretary Akshay Borkar and seconded by general secretary Shrikant Shetty, the proposal was approved by the club’s board of trustees and the managing committee, reflecting the commitment to celebrating the excellence and legacy of Indian cricket. As honorary members, these cricketers will enjoy access to the club’s state of the art facilities, participate in exclusive events and engage with the club’s vibrant community,” he added.

Hardik Pandya played a key role in India's T20 World Cup 2024 victory in the West Indies and the USA. He scored 144 runs at an average of 48.00 with a strike rate of 151.57. Pandya took 11 wickets at an average of 17.36 and an economy rate of 7.64. He also captained the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2024 season.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 199 runs in eight games at an average of 28.42 and took a crucial catch to dismiss David Miller in the final. Shivam Dube, who plays local cricket for MIG, amassed 133 runs in eight matches at an average of 22.16. Yashasvi Jaiswal didn't get a chance in the playing XI in the T20 World Cup.
